SCHLOSSBERG
The vineyards of the Schlossberg, notably steep in some sections, are located to the west of the Ihringer Winklerberg in the town of Achkarren. The Schlossberg is one of the warmest spots in all of Germany, and is marked by various large, steep terraces facing from west to southeast. Minimal precipitation and barren soils lend an aromatic complexity to the grapes, encouraging wines of power, expression and elegance.
